Fixing Us

Way way more than 5 stars. This series and these ladies have my heart and each time I get to read about them makes me swoon for their friendship AND their men! This series also has a special place in my heart with their town called Red Oak since it’s my hometown but not based on my hometown. (I still love the fact it has the name!)

Leigh has the typical run back to her ex issue but the dates she met online would have me running back to my ex if I had to encounter them too. She is such a sassy little thing that has no filter and just throws it out there. I love how we can see her grow so freaking much but also help others grow. I had moments when I freaked out thinking something devastating would happen and it had me on edge!!! I absolutely love Gabe and I can feel the heartache in him throughout this book that broke my heart. But I also wanted to slap the crap out of him most of the time... he just became the typical man with jealously issues and I couldn’t handle him that way. The power of connection really shows here and the fact that they decided to do something not normal than I expected had me swoon for them but also the author. Oh my goodness and I feel like I need more Milo!!!! 😍 I can’t just feel his story could be incredible to read.

Miranda, these get better and better and I get so wrapped up in their lives I get so sad when it ends. I felt like I became apart of the trio of friends who meet up for “Wine Wednesdays” 🥰 I felt every excitement, sadness and even the loneliness but most of all I felt the love. The last chapter is the greatest freaking thing ever and I got super giddy and jumped up and down!! I loved that you did that and made that so worth the sadness I read about at times.

The Irish Lottery

Falling for a new to me authors writing is the best thing EVER! This was my first read from this author and I will be going in search of more from her! I love a good friends to lovers book but this was so much more!

Aubrey is this American who is living in Ireland and engaged to someone who I very very much dislike. Their relationship seemed content, nothing exciting or even mouthwatering sexy and it made me sad for her. Her best friend on the other hand seemed like he was not only drop dead gorgeous but the best friend you could ask anything of and he would give it without question. The banter with him and even his brothers is something you try throughout your life to find and some never find it. But with love also comes pain and it broke my heart to see so much pain in Noah’s eyes. Pain for more than just unrequited love and I just had to know what was going to happen.

I read and read and kept reading... When I got to a certain point in the book I thought the book was over and was devastated but a quick check of my progress assured me that more was to come. In this book you get romance, suspense of an unknown, pain from something that could be devastating, laughter and I was even in awe at moments. I whole heartedly believe everyone in our community of readers should read this, no way should we be ashamed of anything. Such a great book and an incredible message! #YestoHer

This series has me by my soul!! I have only read the others in this series by this author by I’m sold and in love!! I couldn’t put it down!!! This one had my emotions all over the place though and that alone made me not want to stop reading!!

Luke is the amazingly loyal best friend who is doing everything he can to keep his promise but when something unexpected happens he can’t keep quiet anymore. I fell hard for Luke the moment he came around!! He is such a gentleman and everything you look for in a male role model for your child but also who you dream about while your alone!! 😉

Mia seemed to be the quiet and scared type who knew she had the best next thing in her best friend Luke, but when the in laws come the truth comes out. I was so hurt for Mia and Joe throughout this book and hoped for something to give them hope to more for their future.

Each time I never know how Nicole will take these calendar men but hot damn this was near epic proportions!! This is only March and I can’t freaking wait to see what she has in store for the rest of the year!!!! 😍😍 Congrats and best wishes for the upcoming release!!!

Could NOT put it down!!! Talk about heart flutter, heart break and heart swoon!! (I know the last one wasn’t a real thing but I’m making it real.) I love that my introduction to this author was this book because it had so many elements you could take and reflect back on in your personal life.

Arianne is not your typically girl and at the beginning you can see she clearly has reasons to be anything but the typical “rich girl”. Her parents have money but they are considered the “help” and therefore she has to keep appearances that she isn’t into dark and punk rock or even the bad boy from the bad side of town.

Torren started off like I figured he would, the typical guy thing and it actually turned me off. I know kids are young and right out of high school will do what they please but it soured my view of him. After meeting and convincing Ari to help him out I love the heater moments when they wanted to do more than what they were doing. To cross the line from strangers, to friends and even lovers.

This story was overwhelmingly good to the point I was in tears at each climax of the big story points. I just couldn’t help every time the build up grew to the point I was on edge and already crying because I knew it would be big! I’m a fan and I’m so excited to see everyone’s reaction to this incredible story of a love that isn’t pretty, a love that wanted to hold on but just couldn’t get passed the past but most of all a love that isn’t like everyone else’s!
